We just received great news - there were no more blasts (cancer cells) in the marrow sampled on Saturday and Oliver's platelet and marrow levels are improving.  And...we get to leave the hospital tomorrow!!  The doctors just want to keep an eye on Oliver for one more day to make sure there are no more signs of infection and keep an eye on his sodium (still low).  Even though he is cancer free, his body and immune system have a lot of rebalancing to do from the cancer and chemo.  We will remain on the chemo for the next 3 1/2 years.  The next two weeks will still be intense to keep the cancer from coming back (apparently it comes right back without chemo).  Then the next 6 months will include weekly visits of intense chemo, just different drugs.  After that, chemo will continue but less intense.  We feel very encouraged and hopeful by these results and can't believe how fast the cancer cells went away.  We know we are not out of the woods entirely as the chemo has some very serious side effects, but we are making progress one day at a time.
