Today was a great day for all of us.  My firm sponsored a blood drive in honor of Oliver and 56 people were able to donate.  We are so thankful and overwhelmed by the support of everyone. While we are going through such a difficult time, God has truly given us the opportunity to see the very best in people.  And there are a lot of wonderful, compassionate people out there, for which we are grateful.  Larry and Oliver came by the office and Oliver held Larry's hand while he gave blood.  Oliver is a true veteran around needles and blood and got such a thrill from seeing his dad have a needle put in his arm.  Oliver was so excited to see his picture on the posters in the building and he felt so special.  This evening Oliver enjoyed taking care of his daddy’s “boo-boo” instead of the other way around.  This is the happiest we have seen Oliver in the last month and we are all just reeling with excitement.  We have been a bit concerned about Oliver’s emotional well being with so many changes and limitations imposed on him.  It was nice to seem enjoy himself today, it was truly an uplifting day.  Thank you to Harper & Pearson Company for organizing such a wonderful event, thank you to the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center and to all of those promoted, participated in, attempted to or donated blood.  We can’t thank you enough and please know that your donation will go to very good use. God bless.
